What changed in March 2026
Epic cut the number of V-Bucks in each pack from 18 March 2026, saying the cost of running Fortnite had "gone up a lot". At the same time, the Battle Pass dropped to 800 V-Bucks, completing it now gives back 800 instead of 1,500, and Fortnite Crew subscribers get 800 V-Bucks a month instead of 1,000.
Things to know before you buy
- No refunds on V-Bucks.
- Redeem cards on the right device. V-Bucks from a card redeemed on a Nintendo Switch can only be used on Nintendo. On PlayStation, Xbox, PC or mobile, they're shared between those.
- Gift cards are changing. Epic is replacing V-Bucks cards with Fortnite gift cards, which can also buy Fortnite Crew and Epic Games Store games.
